Race, Gender and Media class

So, I originally got this blog up and running for my Race, Gender and Media class. However, I haven't really written about it yet on here. Which is silly. I've taken notes, so I'll end up going back and talking about each class as a separate post. For now, I'll give my thoughts on the class as an overview.

I've been looking forward to taking this class ever since I first saw it listed as an elective for Advertising majors. I've sat in on three classes so far, and while I must say, it's exactly what I hoped for, I've found myself feeling as though I don't have anything worthwhile to say. So many times I will feel as though I have a good point to make, and it ultimately turns into something that doesn't feel relevant, or important for that matter.

It's obviously still very early in the semester and I have plenty of time to get involved. I need to get started on my project. Well, until next time...

"Mad Men" renewed for Season 4

I literally let out a sequel when I read this:

AMC's president says of the renewal: "With this early fourth season renewal, we’re excited to let our audience know the captivating world of Sterling Cooper will be back on AMC again next year.”

I got a few looks from the other people in the Mac lab, but hooray for advertising tv shows. Now, my Mad Men parties can continue on for another year.
